Ottawa Bible Church in Ottawa, KS is excited to announce the expansion of our pastoral staff to shepherd and reach the communities in Franklin County for the gospel. In addition to the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor of Ministry Operations, this position will add focus to the areas of student ministry and music. Our desire at OBC is to live out the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20) by “Living Sent”. We are looking for someone to join our team in ministry to evangelize, disciple and teach the Word of God.

Job Overview:

With accountability to the Senior Pastor and Elder Board, the Associate Pastor of Students Ministries and Music will be responsible for shepherding Ottawa Bible Church students and their families (7th-12th grade). OBC student ministries will align with the overall church vision to “Live Sent” by following the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to make, mature, and multiple disciples. The OBC Youth Ministry called, The Stand, exists to equip students to THINK, LIVE, and DEFEND the Faith.

The Associate Pastor of Student Ministries and Music will shepherd the students at OBC to stand firm on the Word of God and equip them to defend the faith into adulthood. The primary responsibilities for the student ministry are: (1) Oversee and engage in personal discipleship of students and build trusting relationships with their families. (2) Exposit the Scriptures to equip students with a biblical worldview and a heart for the lost. (3) Mobilize the youth ministry through evangelism and missions.

The Associate Pastor of Student Ministry and Music will work in conjunction with the Senior Pastor on a weekly basis in planning for Sunday morning worship. Oversight of the worship service order is held by the Senior Pastor and will align with the teaching and doctrine at OBC. Primary Responsibilities for the music ministry are: (1) Lead the music ministry department into excellence and consistency for all worship services. (2) Equip the ministry department through personal discipleship and coaching new leaders.
